Videofied Avoids Costly False Alarm Fines

Incorporating advanced technology in one simple bundle that is installed easily, quickly and flexibly into virtually ANY Outdoor or Indoor location, VIDEOFIED is leading the technological turning point for the burglar alarm systems using advanced wireless detectors with built-in night vision cameras.
Traditional burglar alarm technologies are typically flawed with detectors that detect intruders, but DO NOT also verify by immediately showing video of the actual intruder to the Central Monitoring Station at exactly the moment the intruder was detected. Approximately 99% of all burglar alarm activations are non-genuine, and as a result the New South Wales Police have now created an alarm response policy that will demand ‘21st Century’ alarm technologies are used to first ‘visually or remote video’ verify so the NSW Police can be deployed more efficiently and with a priority response.
VIDEOFIED is the affordable solution to the false-unwanted alarm. Central Monitoring Stations around Australia using Videofied have shown the benefits of remote video alarm verification to confirm an actual intrusion and then intelligently deploy police and guards which have in turn affected scores of arrests. Some of these arrests testimonies can be read at our website www.videofied.com.au
Importantly, VIDEOFIED does not try and replace CCTV Surveillance, but rather only performs the role of a burglar alarm with built in video verification, and this role is performed seamlessly through to the Central Monitoring Station.
VIDEOFIED, after successes in the commercial and industrial sectors, have recently launched the XL700 GPRS. The VIDEOFIED XL is an even more affordable and ascetically sound product, designed for the mass market. The VIDEOFIED XL also communicates via a built in GPRS/GSM modem module, which negates the need for a phone line. Since the launch of the VIDEOFIED XL it has been widely embraced as a viable solution to even the domestic security marketplace.

NSW Police Force Introduce $200 False Alarm Fine

NSW Police Force Report

NSW Police Force

NSW Police Force after introducing an Alarm Response Policy over 12 months ago, whereby police required alarm verification via 'visually or remote video' alarm verification, have now released some astounding statistics. The Alarm Response Policy over the past 12 months has reduced the number of alarms reported to police by 65%, equating to over 58,000 incidents. Of the 28,000 alarms police did respond to only 6% were actually confirmed as genuine. As a result the NSW Police Force will be enforcing a $200 false alarm fine for non genuine-false alarms in an aim to provide a more effective response to genuine alarms.

Avoid Costly False Alarm Fines.
PDF Print E-mail

Alarm video verification by Videofied not only enables customers to avoid NSW Police Force recently introduced false alarm fines, but more importantly enables police to respond with priority to genuine – video verified alarm activations.

Videofied is quickly and flexibly installed to protect both internal and external areas using wireless MotionViewers that
are battery powered for up to 4 years.

Videofied does not even require a phone line as it communicates using a very low fixed cost central mobile phone style communicator,
which means you save money on phone line rental and on hidden phone call costs that incur when your alarm panel makes daily phone calls.

Videofied – video alarms affordabilty and cost saving measures, for the old ‘blind’ alarm system that cannot provide an event based video
of every activation enabling quick and easy verification of each and every alarm sensors detection. Fundamentally a burglar alarm system
is only effective if it can summons an appropriate and timely response. If it is a false alarm, then the appropriate response would be none at all;
but if the alarm activation is genuine, then the desired response would be police and/or guards responding as quickly as possible.

Typically alarm activations are 99% of the time considered non-genuine, ‘false alarms’,
and are therefore more of a costly nuisance than anything else.

Police and guard response to these ‘false alarms’ not only incur police false alarm fines and/or guard response charges,
but promote a ‘boy who cried wolfe’ syndrome and inturn an effective response to a genuine alarm becomes unlikely.
This predicament defeats the whole reason for a burglar alarm system in the first place, being a timely and effective response to an alarm activation.
Videofied alarm systems restore confidence with built in video verification on each and every MotionViewer detector.

Videofied MotionViewers even secure outdoor areas flexibly without the need for restrictive and costly cabling,
so that Videofied can detect intruders around the perimeters of buildings before the break ins occur.
